The Untold Truth Of Martha And Snoop

Snoop and Martha might not be sharing any special brownies, but they are definitely celebrating their friendship!

Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg have been friends for over 15 years. They first met in 2008 when Snoop came on her cooking show, The Martha Stewart Show, to help make mashed potatoes. The next year, he came back to make brownies, and they joked about “the most important part” of the recipe.

How many women in their 70s living in East Hampton, New York, can say they learned about hip-hop slang from one of its biggest stars? Not many, but Martha can! She said, "I've learned a lot about music from Snoop. He's very funny and knows a lot."

Snoop also learned from Martha. He said she taught him how to prepare a meal and set a table nicely.

Both Martha and Snoop have been to prison. Martha spent five months in prison for insider trading, and Snoop has had several run-ins with the law for drugs. Since only about 3% of people in the U.S. go to prison, it’s pretty surprising that two famous people who have been in jail became friends and worked together on a cooking show!

Fans are still hoping Martha and Snoop will write a cookbook together. For now, they can enjoy their own cookbooks. Martha has written many, covering all sorts of meals like one-pot dishes, vegetables, and grilling. She has more cookbooks than most chefs!

Everyone knows about their friendship now, but not everyone knows how it started. Martha said, "When Snoop came on my show, I loved his giggle. He is eager to learn, and that really made me like him."
