Most people can trace their friendships back to places like school, work, or other spots where people with similar interests meet.

Because of this, it makes sense that celebrities would be friends with other celebrities, especially those who share interests like entertainment, fashion, or sports. It's not surprising that the cast of the show Friends are still close after all these years. Or that Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts are best friends. Other celebrity friendships include Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio, and Sofía Vergara and Reese Witherspoon.

However, some celebrity friendships are surprising and random. For example, Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart have a very unexpected friendship. So do Courtney Cox and Ed Sheeran, Jessica Williams and J.K. Rowling, and rapper 50 Cent with actress Meryl Streep.

Once Meryl Streep and 50 Cent were spotted sitting together at a New York Knicks game, it became a big deal on the internet. Everyone was shocked but happy to see them laughing together. It was a fun and strange moment.

It was the first time they met, and 50 Cent remembered helping Meryl Streep because it was her first time at a live basketball game, and she didn’t know where to sit or what to do. He told her, "Don't worry, just come with me. This is gonna be cool." Even though it’s unclear if they’ve hung out again, 50 Cent has shared this story a few times.

50 Cent said on The Rachael Ray Show that he was amazed by Meryl Streep. He joked, "I sat next to Meryl Streep. And I was like, 'I'm regular.' I felt like I was normal again."
