Andre Rieu shared the remarkable story of his encounter with Akim, a few months prior to their joint performance. "Dear ladies and gentlemen, a few months ago, in December to be precise, we had a Christmas concert in Berlin. Afterwards, a little boy came up to me. A two-year-old named Akim," Andre fondly recounted.

He continued, adding a touch of humor, "That is not unusual, we often have many small children in the audience. They sit on their mother's lap, all fall asleep by the second act, and wake up at the end with full diapers, having the time of their lives."

However, Akim defied the norm. Throughout the entire concert, the young prodigy remained wide awake, expressing his desire to play the violin just like his idol, Andre.

Less than a year later, the extraordinary moment arrived. Akim stood on stage alongside his musical hero, flawlessly performing a piece he had entirely memorized. It marked the beginning of Akim's prodigious journey, all sparked by that memorable concert.
