When a nice high school senior saw an elderly woman having trouble walking and opening the doors at a local store, he jumped out of his car to help her.
He took her hand and helped her walk inside, then even assisted her with her shopping before walking her back to her car to make sure she was okay. The 81-year-old woman had recently fallen and hurt her back and face, so getting from the parking lot to Dollar General was really hard for her.
Seventeen-year-old Senquavious Driver was with his aunt, Connie Sweet, when he noticed the woman struggling to get to the sidewalk.
“We were about to leave the store when I saw her trying to get out of her car, but she could barely walk,” Connie said.
Without thinking twice, Senquavious jumped out and asked if she needed help. He then walked her into the store and helped her as she shopped.
“He helped her in the store and walked her back to her car. She just wanted to buy a soda, but it was hard for her to get inside,” his aunt said.
The smile on the woman’s face showed how thankful she was for his help. “I was so happy and even teary-eyed taking pictures because he didn’t hesitate to help her. I’m really proud of him,” his aunt said.
Senquavious didn’t think his actions were a big deal, but many people online have praised him for his kindness. “What a wonderful young man! This lady will always remember his caring nature. God Bless You!” said JoAnn T.
“There are so many good young people like him – his family must be proud,” added Sharon P. “He not only helped her physically, but he also made her day better. Just look at her smile!” shared Shari A.
Seventeen-year-old Senquavious Driver is an everyday hero whose kind actions made a difference for an elderly woman and inspired many others to follow his example.
