A waiter was having a challenging shift took an incredible turn when singer Jason Derulo left him a life-changing tip of $5,000, enough to cover an entire semester of college tuition.
Jordan Schaffer, a waiter at Charleston's in West Omaha, couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the generous tip written on the check. Overwhelmed with gratitude, he expressed, "I couldn't believe it. Like, seeing $5,000 written out on the check was just — it was, like, heart-stopping, you know."
Little did Jordan know that he would be serving a party of 18 people on that eventful March 7 shift. To his surprise, the group turned out to be none other than Jason Derulo and his entourage. Jordan couldn't contain his shock, exclaiming, "I was, like, 'Seriously?' What the heck is Jason Derulo doing in Omaha?"

The group included Derulo's family and business partner, who had invested with him in a new women's volleyball team in Omaha. Jordan was determined to provide them with an exceptional dining experience, and he praised his team for making everything run smoothly. He believed they had delivered a "perfect" service.
