An exciting moment unfolded at Anchorage International Airport in Alaska when a local mom had a surprise encounter with former President Barack Obama.
Jolene Jackinsky was at the airport on Monday, looking for her airline gate. While wandering, she accidentally ended up in a waiting area for private flights.
To her amazement, she spotted a man who looked just like Obama. "As I got closer, I thought: Oh my God, it is Obama," Jolene shared from her vacation in Newhalen, a small village in Alaska.
Obama noticed Jolene's 6-month-old baby, Giselle, and approached her with a warm smile, asking, "Who is this pretty girl?" The former president then spent a few moments chatting with Jolene about how quickly children grow. He even held baby Giselle, who was wearing an adorable straw hat with a white ribbon. Jolene snapped some photos of this special moment, capturing Obama smiling while holding Giselle.
According to Jolene, Obama mentioned he was returning home from a vacation. When Giselle's father arrived, Obama playfully joked, "I'm taking your baby."
Jolene said Giselle was calm and content throughout the encounter. "It was only five minutes, but it was a moment that will last forever," she said.
She later shared the photos on Facebook, expressing her excitement. "I think it's unreal and pretty exciting that I get to have a picture with him and my baby," Jolene said. "Not a lot of people get to meet him."
