89-year-old Rose Griest and her 100-year-old husband, David, faced a tough moment during their journey back from a doctor’s appointment in Orlando, Florida. After stopping at a gas station to use the bathroom, they returned to their SUV feeling weak and exhausted.
Rose, using a walker, and David struggled to get back into their vehicle. They seemed shaky and unsteady, clearly in need of some help. That’s when Officer Kanesha Carnegie, who was nearby, noticed them and was just about to step in.
However, before Officer Carnegie could act, three young men dashed out of the gas station. These weren’t just any men; they’re a local rap trio from Orlando named Joc Koe Stoe, Marty, and Freddy G. They had been inside buying snacks when they saw Rose and David struggling. Without thinking twice, the rappers rushed outside to assist them.
Marty, one of the rappers, shared his thoughts, saying, “I kept thinking, 'She could have been my grandmother.'” His compassion led them to help Rose and David with kindness and care.
Officer Carnegie captured the touching moment on her cellphone and later shared the video on Facebook. It quickly went viral, gathering over 5 million views. This story is a beautiful reminder of the power of compassion and the impact of simple acts of kindness.
