Imani, who is 34, first met 77-year-old Larry through a dating app about nine years ago. She mentioned that she’s usually drawn to older men and was particularly attracted to Larry’s distinctive white hair.

Imani shared that her relationship with Larry is always lively and full of engaging conversations. “There’s never a moment when I’m bored,” she told the show Love Don't Judge.

Recently, Larry proposed to Imani in Paris, and she was thrilled to accept. “I always knew I’d be with someone older, but never expected it to be a 43-year difference!” she said.

Before agreeing to marry Larry, Imani had to think about several factors, including how Larry’s health might change as he ages. She also mentioned that if things didn’t work out with Larry, she would choose to date women, as she feels no one else could compare to him.

Imani noted that Larry often treats her to special experiences, like a shopping spree in Paris. “He rarely says no to me and spoils me regularly,” she said.

Larry, on the other hand, said that Imani is always appreciative and has no high expectations. “The biggest misconception about our relationship is that I’m in it for the money,” Imani explained. “That’s not true at all. If it were just about money, we wouldn’t have lasted this long.”

Age-gap relationships can work out wonderfully, as seen with several famous couples. Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble have a 25-year age difference and have been together since 2014. Director Sam Taylor-Johnson and actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson share a 23-year gap and married in 2012. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham, with a 20-year difference, married in 2016, and Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas have a 25-year age gap, getting married in 2000.

Imani also pointed out that some people mistakenly think she’s just a housewife or a gold-digger. However, she and Larry brush off the negativity. “The judgment has made us stronger and improved our communication,” she said.

Despite the occasional stares they get due to their age difference, their friends and family fully support their relationship. Imani expressed how much Larry has positively impacted her life, saying, “He’s changed my life in so many ways. I could write a book about how he’s helped me become the person I always wanted to be.”
